How to Complete Student Admission

Student Admission & Student - Parent Login Details

You will need to have admin privileges to be able to process a student.  You can access Student Admission by going to Menu > Academics > Students > Student Admission. The admission process begins with filling the admission form. The field Admission No will be automatically generated, either alphanumeric or numeric, if it is enabled in the General Settings module. 





Drop-down menus will show contents that can be adjusted in the Settings module. These are typically the class in which student will be admitted and the category.


The second page of admission is for details of the student's parent. This includes personal details, such as their first name, last name and relationship to the student, as well as contact details, including email, address and mobile phone number. After filling out all the fields, click finish to move on to next page of admission. If the institution doesn’t need to enter certain parent details, they simply click on the click here to skip option.





 

Once this information on the student and parent has been entered, there will also be an option to add another guardian. The admin can either chose to add another guardian, or simply skip this option by clicking on the finish button.




If more than one guardian is added, the admin can select one guardian as the emergency contact by clicking the checkbox next to the parent's name and then on finish. This is helpful if something happens to a student and their guardian needs to be contacted immediately. The emergency contact details will be displayed in the student profile.


Note: Only the emergency contact will have a login account. The username of this guardian is displayed in the student profile. 




The next page of admission contains the fields for previous educational details, which can either be entered or skipped. Previous education details are import to have on file for  students who have completed their primary or secondary education. 

There is also an option to Add Subject, if you want to enter any marks for subjects the student received at their previous institution.

Fees cans also be imported to the student's profile if any of them are applicable image, as seen in the image below.



The admission module also contains additional details if needed. These fields can be added by the admin in the Settings module based on institution's preference. The additional details field(s) should be added before admitting any students, if they are required.



There is an Enable SMS option at the first page of admission form. If the SMS service is enabled and activated for your institution, then an SMS will be sent to the parents' mobile number with their login details.

Once the student is admitted, you can log into the student account using the credentials :


Username:  student admission number

Password: student admission number +123 


Parent login details 

Username :  username             (p2367)
Pass :  username +123            (p2367123)
