How to print onto a Dymo (Label) Printer in One Stop Order Processing

This document describes how to setup your Dymo (label) printer, One Stop Order Processing and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

One Stop Order Processing setup

1 Start One Stop Order Processing

2 Display the Invoice Options (Select the Tools->Options menu option and select the Invoice (or Packing List) Options tab

3 In the Printer to send requests to select the Dymo (or label) printer

4 In the Stationery to use  box select Other and select the relevant Dymo invoice (or packing list) from the available list.

5 Click on OK

6 Tick a single order to print (when setting up just do a test print with 1 order)

7 Select the File->Preview->Invoice (Packing List), whichever template you have setup


Microsoft Internet Explorer setup

NOTE: One Stop Order Processing uses Internet Explorer to print (even if your default internet browset is different (e.g. Google Chrome))

8 Open Microsoft Internet Explorer

9 Select the following web page:

http://www.1stoporders.co.uk/1StopSampleLabel.html

10 Select the Print Preview option (by right clicking and select Print Preview from the choices shown)

NOTE: At this stage it doesn't matter what is displayed in Internet Explorer, this is just a sample label

11 On the Print Preview screen Printer icon (or select on Alt P)

12 Select the Dymo (or label printer) and click on Apply

13 Click on Cancel to close the dialog

14 In the Print Preview window Page Setup (Cog) icon (or select Alt U)

15 Click on the Page Size list and select the paper size for your printer (e.g. Dymo)

16 Change the margins (Left, Right, Top and Bottom) to 2mm

17 In the Headers and Footers area make sure that they are all set to empty

18 You may also need to change the paper orientation to Landscape.

19 Click on OK

20 Close Print Preview.

21 Close Microsoft Internet Explorer


Setting up the Dymo (or label printer)

22 In Windows Printers select the Dymo (or label) printer

23 Select Printing Preferences

24 Select the default paper size to be the correct size for the label.


You should be able to print correctly from One Stop Order Processing


Trouble Shooting

If the information is not displayed on the label correctly the following should find where the issue is:

1 Run a simple program, such as notepad, and see if this can print correctly to the Dymo (label) printer. Use a few words so that they fit on the label.
2 Display a very simple page (in Internet Explorer). e.g. http://www.1stoporders.co.uk/1StopSampleLabel.html and print this page.
3 Make sure you have Print Background colors and Images ticked in the Page Setup in Microsoft Internet Explorer
