How can I add a resource without an EPD that uses both virgin and recycled material?

If you use a material in your product that does not have an EPD, but the supplier does have a self-declaration which includes information about recycled content, you can add it to you calculations using two lines of input.

In the first line, you can allocate the percentage of recycled material used and in the second, allocate the percentage of virgin material.

Similarly, if your company manufactures a product that uses 80% scrap content and 20% virgin content, you can use Allocation to separate the two.

Below is an example of a steel product with 80% "Iron scrap, sorted, pressed, Recycled Content cut-off" and 20% "Steel production, converter, low-alloyed", as its recycled raw material and virgin raw material.
