Choosing favorite materials

What does this feature do?

Assigning materials as favorite makes finding these materials in future projects easier for you and your colleagues. Materials marked as favorite will always be shown as the first results for your search. Favorite materials are easily assigned from the input queries and can be managed within the company account page.  

How to add materials as favorites

First, open a material input query; 'Building materials' for building projects or 'Construction materials' for infrastructure projects. Favorite materials can also be assigned in the Materials specifier tool.

Search for a material and open the information window by clicking on the question mark next to the material name. Click on the star icon to add the material as a favorite. The star icon turns yellow to indicate that it is now marked as a favorite material.

If any of the favorite materials matches your search string, it will be shown as the first result on the list.

Managing favorite materials

Favorite materials can be managed through company account page.

All materials marked as favorite for your company are listed here. You can easily remove materials from the list or download an EPD of manufacturer specific products.

Is this feature available for me?

Favorite materials are available for all users on a company account. Instructions on how to create and manage users of a company account you can find through this link.
