How to maximise the life of your battery

How to maximise the life of your battery

To maximise the lifespan of the battery avoid heat;
– charge cool: charge at a temperature between 5 and 45°C (ideally <25°C).
– store cool: for long term storage, the cooler the better but don’t store below freezing. Use top-up charges to keep state of charge between 30 and 60%. For short term storage keeping below 25 degrees will help.
– use cool: the best temperature range for use is between 15 and 35°C.

For maximum life, avoid charging to 100% and discharging to 0%. Keeping the state of charge between 20 and 80% will significantly increase the life of the battery.
