NetCode FAQ

NetCode FAQ

Why is my lock flashing red when I enter the * at the beginning of a NetCode?

This is because the lock is currently not set up to allow NetCodes.  To fix this, go into the lock's settings in the C3 Smart App, tick the box next to 'NetCode' and then synchronise the lock to imply the changes.

Can I request a NetCode for less than an hour?

NetCodes start on the hour with a minimum duration of an hour time period. Should you require it, there is an option to have a 15 minute grace period on either end of your NetCode's access period.

How are credits billed?

Credits are purchased using a debit/credit card on a pay as you go basis from the NetCode portal.  One credit is equivalent to one generated NetCode or SMS.

Is there a maximum amount of credits you can have?

No, there is no maximum allowance of credits. If you are looking to buy a large amount of credits please contact us on sales@codelocks.co.uk or call on 01635 239645.

Why does my Rental code no longer function since I used a different NetCode?

Your 'Block previous NetCode' feature is turned on in the app's settings. This feature makes the previously used rental code defunct when another code is used in the lock. The purpose of this is to only have one active rental NetCode available at a time.

Why are my URM Rental codes not working when I enter them into my lock?

This is a feature that needs to be activated on the lock before it can be used.

What are the different types of NetCode?

  1. "Standard (Multi use)” and “Standard (Single Use)” are codes which allow access between 1 hour and 7 days and start at a set time or date. Single use will permit the code to be used only once, whereas multi use will allow the code to be used multiple times within the allocated time period.
  2. “Rental 1-21 Days (Multi use)” (ACC Mode) will allow you to create codes with a duration between 1 and 21 days. However these codes must be used within the first 24 hours of the NetCodes start date.  For example, if a 7 day NetCode is generated to start on the 1st May it must be used on this date to 'validate' it and allow access for the rest of the NetCode duration.
  3. C3 Smart Locks: “Unlimited Rental Mode (URM)” is a feature that will need to be activated by us should you want to use it, please get in contact for this to be completed. Similar to the "Rental 1-21 days", these will need to be validated within a set period from the NetCode's start time/date, you can choose how soon the NetCode must be validated between 1 hour and 7 days when generating it. This will then allow access indefinitely from the start time/date.
  4. KL1000 NetCode Only: “Rental Max 365 days (Multi Use) (URM)” is a feature that will need to be activated by us should you want to use it, please get in contact for this to be completed. Similar to the "Rental 1-21 days", these will need to be validated within a set period from the NetCode's start time/date, you can choose how soon the NetCode must be validated between 1 hour and 7 days when generating it. This will then allow access multiple times within 365 days from the start time/date.
