Lock FAQ

Why won't my Audit Trail lock accept any codes that I have entered into the Data Manager?

Make sure the access times/days in the Data Manager are correct.  Also make sure you do not have any access times which run from 00:00 to 00:00, if you do, change these to 00:00 to 23:59.  If you have done the above and are still experiencing issues re-enter program 16 into the lock and complete an upload/download.

If I put a key into my Mechanical Lock and turn it, it just keeps rotating, why?

This lock may be faulty or has been installed incorrectly, please contact our customer services to carry out troubleshooting.

If I carry out a factory reset on my lock, will my master key change?

Yes - Your master code will reset to the factory version.

CL5510/CL4510 default is #12345678

KL1550 default is #11223344

KL1060/KL1000NC default is #11335577

Is it possible for someone to change my mastercode?

A master code can be changed by carrying out a factory reset (which would require access to the batteries at the back of the lock), the lock would then go back default to the original factory code, #12345678.  The only other way a mastercode could be changed would be if the person attempting to access the lock already had the existing mastercode.

What batteries can I use?

We recommenced using 1.5v Alkaline batteries which are ideally a premium brand over a cheaper alternative.  The higher the battery capability (mah), the greater the battery life.

How do I locate my identifier number?

This can be found on the lock's page in the portal, if you are unable to locate this please get in touch and we will be happy to help.

What is the manufactures warranty on your locks?

We offer a 2 year guarantee on all our electronic locks. We also offer a limited lifetime guarantee on all of our Mechanical Locks which will be repaired, serviced or replaced free of charge if they develop a manufacturing fault*.

* Faults caused by misuse, abuse and/or poor fitting are not covered by the guarantees.
