How to add rates and conditions in the Table Rates method

First of all, in your methods grid you should select the Table Rates method where you want to add your rates and conditions. As soon as you do it, press "+" icon above your rates grid. The "add rate" popup will appear.

There are 3 tabs in this popup:
  1. Rate's GEO Conditions
  2. Rate's Cart Conditions
  3. Rate's Calculation Algorithm

Geo Conditions

  1. Served Shipping Areas. You can limit your method's rate to specific shipping areas. It means this method's rate will only be available for delivery addresses that match conditions of the selected areas. Leave empty to apply this method's rate to ANY delivery address.
  2. Country. You can limit your method's rate to a specific Country. It means this method's rate will only be available for delivery addresses that match selected Country. Leave empty to apply this method's rate to ANY Country.

Note that served Shipping Areas and other GEO conditions usually exclude each other: you had better set a Shipping Areas as a condition for your method's rate or other GEO condition.

Cart / Product / Group Conditions

Depending on the method's algorithm (Entire Cart, Individual Products, Grouped Products) these tabs are labeled Cart, Product or Group Conditions correspondingly.
  1. Product Price Range / Cart Subtotal Range / Group Subtotal Range. The field name and purpose depends on the method's algorithm (Entire Cart, Individual Products, Grouped Products). It defines price or subtotal range as a condition for your method's rate. The rate will be available only if product price / cart subtotal / group subtotal matches the defined range.
  2. Product Weight / Cart Weight / Group Weight. The field name and purpose also depends on the method's algorithm (Entire Cart, Individual Products, Grouped Products). It defines weight as a condition for your method's rate. The rate will be available only if product weight / cart weight / group weight matches defined range.
  3. Product Quantity / Cart Quantity / Group Quantity. The field name and purpose also depend on the method's algorithm (Entire Cart, Individual Products, Grouped Products). It defines quantity as a condition for your method's rate. The rate will be available only if product quantity / cart quantity / group quantity matches the defined range.
  4. Custom Attribute for Filtering and its Value. An additional condition for the method can be set using a custom attribute. The rate will be available only if products in the cart match the defined custom attribute value.
  5. Custom Attribute for Grouping and its Value. This field appears only for "Grouped Products" method's algorithm. Custom attribute has been selected in Method's settings. In method's rate settings you set the value for this attribute. So the products will be grouped by this custom attribute's value and rate will be applied to this entire group.

Rate

Rate calculation algorithms also depends on the method's algorithm (Entire Cart, Individual Products, Grouped Products).
