Connecting multiple NMEA0183 Listeners to NGW-1

Connecting multiple NMEA0183 Listeners to NGW-1

NMEA 0183 Output

It is perfectly acceptable to connect up to eight devices to the NGW-1 NMEA 0183 output provided that they are all individually electrically isolated, depending on the electrical demands from each device. However, please check with your device manufacturers that you do not have more than one device that does not have an electrically isolated input.

    • NMEA 2000 Device Prioritisation

When there is more than one device of the same type (like a GPS) on the NMEA 2000 network, the NGW-1 will use the data from the highest priority (lowest source address). If the device you'd rather use as a secondary Talker for the NGW-1 claims a ...

If your NMEA 0183 Listener is not showing any data when connected to the NMEA 0183 output of an NGW-1, the first step for fault finding should be to see if the NGW-1 supports the conversions you need. For more information on the steps taken when ...
