EMU-1 Tachometer Issue

EMU-1 Tachometer Issue

A recent issue has been discovered in v.1.060 of EMU-1 firmware concerning the tachometer output.

Symptoms include, but are not limited to:
  • Digital RPM value dropping to zero when true value exceeds 2000-2500RPM.
  • Other digital gauges (such as pressure and temperature) spuriously increase/decrease in value as RPM increases/decreases, despite the analogue gauge remaining stable.
The course of action needed to resolve this issue is to revert back to v.0.070 of the EMU-1 firmware by following the steps:

  • Launch Actisense Toolkit
  • Check you have the latest version of Toolkit by clicking the small blue circle with the question mark in it located in the top right corner.  The latest version is v.1.011.004.
  • Open the COM port to your NGT-1 that is connected to the same NMEA 2000 network as your EMU-1
  • Select the EMU-1 in the 'Serial/CAN' Device List
  • Click the arrow below the 'Downgrade Firmware' button
  • Select v.0.070
